FEMUSINDO.com - This hard rock music group from Jakarta, which was initiated in 1991, was originally called E & E with the initial formation of Eet Sjahranie (guitar), Ecky Lamoh (vocals), Fajar Satritama (drums) and Iwan Xaverius (bass).
When releasing their debut titled The Beast on May 10, 1992 through the AIRO Records label, the name E & E was changed to Edane or known as EdanE.
This album consists of nine song compositions starting with "Evolusi" as the intro and ending with "You Don't Have to Tell Me Lies".
The debut album was produced by Edane with Setiawan Djodi as executive producer (AIRO) and Jimmy Doto as producer.
Best Indonesian Album
The Beast album entered the list of 150 Best Indonesian Albums of 2007 and the hit song "Ikuti" entered the list of 150 Best Indonesian Songs of 2009 according to Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine.
Through the Aquarius Musikindo label, Edane with vocalist Heri Batara (also known as formation II) launched Jabrik in 1994.
Two years later and still through the Aquarius Musikindo label, Edane released their third album titled Borneo in 1996.
Release of Compilation Album
Edane released their fourth album in the form of a compilation album titled 9299 in 1999. This album contains a compilation of Edane's best songs from previous albums with the addition of three new songs, namely "Rock On", "Dengarkan Aku" and "Untuk Dunia".
Through the Sony Music Indonesia label, Edane with vocalist Trison (known as formation III) launched their fifth album titled 170 Volts released in 2002.

Through the Sony BMG Indonesia label, Edane's sixth album titled Time To Rock, containing eleven compositions plus one intro song, was released on June 20, 2005.
The album was a continuation of the previous work, namely the theme song for the film Spider-Man 2 and "Cry Out" became one of the songs on this album.
Edane Rises
After not being heard for a long time, at the end of 2010 Edane rose again by releasing their seventh album titled Edan through Log Zhelebour under the banner Logiss Records.
The album, released on December 4, 2010, contains nine new song compositions, one intro song, plus two songs in the 'minus-one' format.
Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine included this album in the list of the best Indonesian music albums of 2011.
In 2015, Edane released a single titled "Hail Edan". This single was released independently since Edane was no longer working with the label (semi-indie).
Releasing a Single
Edane released another single titled "Si Bangsat (Sesuka Lo)" in August 2020 in collaboration with Bagus (NTRL) as a songwriter and also filled the vocals at the end of the song.
In order to immediately focus on working on the album, the single "Si Bangsat (Sesuka Lo)" was distributed via the Greenland Indonesia label (musicblast).
In three decades of its musical journey, Edane's existence has become one of the influential bands in the Indonesian music scene today.
The achievements of this hard rock music group from Jakarta have won awards from the Anugerah Musik Indonesia to the Hammersonic Award. (*)
