Kerispatih Indonesian Pop Rock Music Group

FEMUSINDO.com - Kerispatih is an Indonesian pop rock music group formed on April 22, 2003 on the initiative of 4 students from the Indonesian Musicians Institute, Arief, Badai, Anton, and Andika.

The band with the pop rock, slow rock, power ballad and alternative rock genres currently has 3 members, namely Anton, Fandy (replacing Sammy the vocalist) and Arief.

Sammy - the previous vocalist, their colleague on campus, who was one of the top 30 finalists of Indonesian Idol I in 2004.

Meanwhile, Fandy who replaced Sammy as vocalist, was the 5th finalist of Indonesian Idol IV in 2007.

Starting Recording

Initially they formed a band with an ethnic instrumental theme which they composed in a new arrangement. Their first appearance was on the Farabi Sunday show on April 22, 2003.

Kerispatih started recording in 2004. They joined a compilation album project titled Gulalikustik (released September 2004), with the major label Nagaswara.

Their participation in this album began with an event held by a private radio station (88.00 Mustang FM) called Gulali (Lagu Gue Cendili), which is indeed a place for new Indonesian creators and bands.

The response was positive, Mustang offered Kerispatih a role in the collaboration project. On the album they contributed 2 songs, "Jangan Aku" and "Sebentuk Hati buat Kekasih".

First Album Release

In 2005, Kerispatih released their first album titled Kejujuran Hati. The singles released on this album include "Kejujuran Hati", "Cinta Putih", and "Lagu Rindu".

This album received Platinum Awards in 2006. Their success was also proven by receiving an award as the Top Newcomer Album in the 2006 SCTV Music Awards.

In 2007, Kerispatih released their second album entitled Nyata Merasa, and released their first single on this album entitled "Mengenangmu", and dominated the Indonesian charts and radio.

After the success of "Mengenangmu", Kerispatih released their second single entitled "Tapi Bukan Aku" which as predicted would repeat the success of "Mengenangmu".

Successfully Received Platinum Awards

They then released their third single entitled "Sepanjang Usia" and "Untuk Pertama Kali" as their fourth single. Like their first album, this album also successfully received Platinum Awards in 2007.

Kerispatih also participated in the debut album of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, by singing a song composed by SBY entitled "Hening".

In June 2008, Kerispatih released their third album entitled "Tak Lekang Oleh Waktu". This third album is a combination of their first and second albums.

In late 2009, Kerispatih released their fourth album entitled "Semua Tentang Cinta". The main song on the fourth album is "Aku Harus Jujur". (*)
