Didgeridoo, a Wind Instrument from Australia and Its Mystical Side

FEMUSINDO.com - Didgeridoo or didjeridu is a wind instrument of the Aboriginal tribe, the indigenous people of northern Australia.

A didjeridu is usually cylindrical or conical in shape and is about 1 to 2 meters long, but most are 1.2 meters.

It is rare for a didgeridoo to be shorter or longer than that. In general, the longer the instrument, the lower the key.

This musical instrument, also known by the natives as yidaki, is also not free from mystical myths.

The didgeridoo is believed by its users to be able to predict or change the weather to come.

There are no special requirements regarding the time of use of the didgeridoo. In the past, Aboriginal people could blow it at any time, even throughout the day.

The use of the didgeridoo is a form of gratitude for the gifts and sustenance received from the Creator. (*)
