FEMUSINDO.com - Ariana Grande-Butera, with her famous name Ariana Grande, was born in Boca Raton, Florida, U.S., on June 26, 1993.
She is an American singer, songwriter, and actress who began her career in 2008 in the Broadway musical drama titled 13.
She played Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon television series Victorious (2010–2013) and in the spinoff Sam & Cat (2013–2014).
She has also appeared in various theater and television roles and has done voice work in several television series and films.
Starting a Music Career
Grande's music career began in 2011 with the soundtrack Music from Victorious. In 2013, she released her first studio album Yours Truly.
The album topped the Billboard 200 in the United States. The album's lead single, "The Way", debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.
Grande's second studio album, My Everything (2014), reached number one in the United States and peaked in the top 10 in 24 countries.
With the lead single "Problem" and several other singles, she spent 34 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, the most top 10 singles of any artist in 2014.
Holding Her First World Tour
The following year, Grande embarked on her first world tour, "The Honeymoon Tour", in support of My Everything.
In 2016, she released her third studio album Dangerous Woman, which peaked at number two on the Billboard 200.
She continued to chart at number one on the Billboard 200 and in several other countries, with several singles and albums in subsequent years.
International Tour and Collaboration with World Artists
Grande has held an international tour, the Dangerous Woman Tour, and collaborated with a number of other world-famous artists.
She had another number-one debut collaborating with Lady Gaga on the song Rain On Me, and Stuck With You with Justin Bieber.
This collaboration increased her ranking as the first female artist to have the most number-one debut singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
One of the 100 Most Influential People in the World
Not only that, Ariana is one of four female artists to top Spotify monthly listener, along with Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift and Rihanna.
As of June 2018, Grande's music videos have been viewed a total of more than ten billion times online. Grande has sold 30.5 million digital singles in the US.
All three of her albums have been certified platinum by the RIAA. She has supported various charities and has a large following on social media.
In 2016, Time named Grande one of the 100 most influential people in the world on its annual Time 100 list. (*)
