FEMUSINDO.com - Billboard Music Award (BBMAs) is an honor given by Billboard, one of the publishers and popular chart drivers that covers the music business.

Since 1990, the Billboard Music Awards event has been held annually in December until it was stopped in 2006.

This award event returned in 2011 and is held annually in May. The 2018 Billboard Music Awards aired live on May 20 on NBC television.

The event is not like the Grammy Awards which determine nominees from the highest assessment results received by The Recording Academy.

The Billboard Music Awards ranking is based on digital album and song sales, number of downloads, song plays, tours, and social engagement.

The measurements are monitored throughout the year by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound.

The 2018 awards, for example, were based on the results of reports from April 8, 2017 to March 31, 2018.

These awards are given to top album/artist/single winners in different genres. (*)
