He is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, arranger, and mixer from England who has been working for more than four decades.

First Hit and Becoming a Science Fiction Character
His first hit was the song "Space Oddity" in 1969. Bowie became a science fiction character for the album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
He then wrote the song "Fame" in collaboration with John Lennon which became the first number one single in America.
In 1976, Bowie starred in The Man Who Fell to Earth. In 1996, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
