The singer was born in Baskin, Louisiana, on May 19, 1992 and performed at a young age, before going to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a career as a country music player.
Releasing Albums and Reaching Number One on the Charts
In 2014, Lainey Wilson released her first album on Cupit, followed by her second album on Lone Chief in 2016.
Wilson secured a publishing deal and later released an extended play (EP) in 2019 that included the song "Things a Man Oughta Know".
In 2020, the song was released as a single through BBR Music Group and eventually reached number one on the American country charts.
Winning Multiple Country Music Awards
Lainey Wilson has received seven Country Music Association Awards, including winning their top honor of Entertainer of the Year in 2023.
