FEMUSINDO.com - Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija, known professionally as Peso Pluma, is a Mexican singer, musician and rapper.
The singer, born in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, on June 15, 1999, learned to play guitar during his early teens and developed his skills by writing songs inspired by regional Mexican music.
Achieved Success with First Studio Albums
Peso Pluma achieved moderate success with his first two studio albums, Ah y Qué? (2020) and Efectos Secundarios (2021), which were released under the El Cartel de Los Ángeles label.
His singles "Por Las Noches" and "El Belicón" (with Raúl Vega), sold 480,000 units and were certified octuple-platinum in the Latin field by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Later, she continued her success with the EP Sembrando (2022) and the controversial Latin 5× Platinum-certified duet "Siempre Pendientes" with Luis R. Conriquez entered the Billboard Global 200.

The song's commercial growth boosted the singer's popularity worldwide, simultaneously landing eight songs on the Hot 100 for the week of April 29, 2023, becoming the Mexican artist with the most Spanish-language entries in the US.

Peso Pluma's third studio album, Génesis (2023), won the Grammy Award for Best Música Mexicana Album (including Tejano).
He released his fourth studio album and double album Éxodo (2024) on June 20, 2024, which achieved further success, peaking at number five on the Billboard 200.
