FEMUSINDO.com - Funky Kopral is an Indonesian music group that was officially formed on December 1, 1998 with funk, funk rock, hard rock, rap rock and pop genres.

This music group was initially formed with the formation of Angga (vocals), Bondan Prakoso (bass & vocals), Oncy (guitar), Kristo Perwira (guitar) and Robby Wibowo (drums and sole founder).

In the middle of its career, the band whose music was inspired by the American funk rock band, namely Red Hot Chilli Peppers (RHCP) often experiences personnel changes every time they release 1 album.

Until now, this music group consists of Robby (drums), Coco (guitar) and Rangga Zaky (vocals). The name of the fans in this band is Funchopat.

Album Releases and Awards

During his career, Funky Kopral has released several albums, including Funchopat (1999), Funkadelic Rhythm And Distortion (2000) and Lembaran Baru (2006).

Then, Funky Kopral (2010), Street Funk (2013) and 1 collaboration album with legendary artist Setiawan Djody entitled Misteri Cinta (2002).

Funky Kopral has received the AMI Awards 2001 in the Best Alternative Group Category, AMI Awards 2003 in the Best Rock Collaboration Category and AMI Awards 2011 in the Alternative Song Category (nominations only). (*)
