FEMUSINDO.com - Jikustik, originally named G-Coustic, is an Indonesian music group with the rock, folk pop, folk, pop, rock and alternative rock genres that was formed on February 26, 1996 in Yogyakarta.
The initial formation of this music group was Pongki Barata (vocals, guitar), Aji Mirza Hakim (bass, vocals), Dadi (guitar, vocals), Adhit (keyboard) and Carlo (drums).
In 1999, an independent recording album, "Bulan di Yogya", became G-Coustic's first step into the wilderness of Indonesian music.
The album was produced by Woodel's Production, which finally brought G-Custic together with Warner Music Indonesia. In 2000, the album "Seribu Tahun" was created and Jikustik was born.
Actively Creating Songs
Among the Jikustik personnel, Pongki and Icha are the most active members in creating songs.
Not only for their own group, they also create songs for other singers and many of them eventually become hits.
Their songs were sung by, among others, Audy, Iwan Fals, Chrisye and Rossa. Malaysian singers also performed songs created by Jikustik personnel.
One year later, a special edition album "Seribu Tahun" was made with 2 new songs, namely "Kau Menghilang (Remix)" and "Jangan Pernah Kau Layu".

Album Release
On June 5, 2002, Jikustik released their second album "Perjalanan Panjang" at Planet Hollywood Jakarta.
This second album contains 12 of their best songs. Several songs from this second album had occupied the top positions on the charts of several radio stations in the country.
On October 13, 2003, Jikustik released their third album entitled "Sepanjang Musim". In this album there are 10 songs in cassette format and 11 songs for CD format.
Then, Jikustik re-released the album "Kumpulan Terbaik". In addition to containing a collection of the best songs from their previous albums, this album also presents 3 new songs.
Release Different Songs
Jikustik's sixth album, "Siang" which is a continuation of the "Pagi" trilogy was released on December 8, 2006, this album contains 11 songs, with the main song "Puisi" by Dadi.
Next, the latest album from the Yogyakarta-based band, namely Malam, champions the hits "Selamat Malam" and "Dia Harus Tau". Both songs are slightly different from Jikustik's other songs, because there are disco elements in the songs.
Mid-November 2011, Jikustik released the album 'Kembali Indah". In 2015, Jikustik re-released a studio album entitled "Tetap berjalan" with a single entitled "So Sweet". (*)
