FEMUSINDO.com - Olivia Isabel Rodrigo, with her famous name Olivia Rodrigo, was born in Murrieta, California, United States, on February 20, 2003.
She is an American singer and actress who is known for her role as Paige Olvera in the Disney Channel series, Bizaardvark.
In addition, she is also known as Nini Salazar-Roberts in the Disney+ series, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
Signing Recording Deal
Rodrigo signed with record labels Interscope Records and Geffen Records in 2020. Rodrigo released her debut single "Drivers License" in January 2021, debuting at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
Her rendition of "Deja Vu" peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100,[8] and "Good 4 U" reached number one in several countries.
She then released her debut solo studio album Sour (2021), which received positive critical and commercial success. Sour won her numerous awards including three Grammy Awards.
The following year, Disney+ released the documentary Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U, which chronicled Rodrigo's creative process with Sour and her Sour Tour.
Best-Selling Singles Artist
According to Billboard, Rodrigo ended 2021 as the best-selling singles artist worldwide, landing eight songs on the year-end Global 200 chart.
The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) ranked Rodrigo as the tenth best-selling artist of 2021 and Sour as the second best-selling album of 2021.
On February 17, 2022, Rodrigo announced and released the trailer for her Disney+ documentary Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U, which was released on March 25, 2022. (*)
