FEMUSINDO.com - Nur Fazura Sharifuddin, with her famous name Nur Fazura, is a Malaysian actress, lawyer, model and singer.
As a singer, Nur Fazura, who was born in Pekan, Pahang, September 27, 1983, began singing when recording her debut single, "Sayangi Dirimu" on December 14, 2014.
The single became the theme song for her biographical documentary, Facing Up To Fazura which aired on the E! channel. Fazura released her first solo album on November 2, 2017.
Collaborating with Alternative Rock Bands
On October 18, 2015, Fazura successfully held a small show at Hard Rock Cafe, Melaka with her band, "The Wak Lu" by singing a total of 8 songs.
She also collaborated with a local alternative rock band, Teras on a slow rock ballad titled "Hancur Aku".
The collaboration slowly climbed the local music charts after its debut. Their official music video currently has over 300 thousand views on YouTube.
Starting a Career in the Entertainment Industry
Nur Fazura started her career in the Malaysian entertainment industry with television hosting and some minor acting roles. She hosted a television show produced by Radio Television Malaysia (RTM), Teens World.
In 2004, she started her film career by playing the lead role in the film Bicara Hati directed by Rosnani Jamil which earned her an award nomination.
Then, in 2005, Nur Fazura became the main actress as Putri in the film Gol & Gincu, a romance film adapted from a story by Lina Tan and Rafidah Abdullah.
Fazura is known as one of the most stylish celebrities in Malaysia according to most entertainment and fashion magazines and often appears in "stylish" and "glamorous" magazines.
Acting in Films and TV Series
As of 2017, she has acted in 16 films and several TV series and telefilms and has hosted several television programs. She is also a judge on the television comedy show Maharaja Lawak Mega.
Throughout her career as an actress, Fazura has received various awards and nominations, including the Berita Harian Popular Star Award for the category of Popular Female Film Actress 2016.
At the 17th Malaysia Film Festival, Nur Fazura was included in the category of Female Hope Actress for the film Bicara Hati and the 2016 Malaysia Film Festival and Best Actress for the film Manisnya Cinta di Cappadoccia.
Other awards she has won include the Screen Awards, Shout Awards! and Era MeleTOP Awards.
For her role as a product ambassador and spokesperson, Fazura has been a spokesperson for various products such as Pantene, Nutox and Lux. (*)
